Stonehenge – one of the most famous English Heritage sites in the world, which has great wheelchair access. A stone circle with a unique atmosphere. Definitely one of the most amazing days out we have ever had. It is located near Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.

There are two types of tickets you can book – general admission and and a VIP experience. We decided to choose a VIP ticket even though it is significantly more expensive as it gives you the access to the inner circle of the stones. It is also outside normal opening hours which means there are a lot less people in the group (maximum 30 people) and you can see it during sunset if you book an evening time slot. Early morning VIP tickets are also available. Tickets sell out fast, so best book far in advance. Free carer’s ticket available. For evening visits, the shop is open before the visit but will close once the last group has departed for the stones.

It was an amazing experience . It is fully wheelchair accessible
Accessible toilets and changing rooms available on site. The shuttle bus that takes you from the to the stones is wheelchair accessible (but does require some driving skills if your chair is quite big like Shane’s). No dogs allowed except assistance dogs
.
